Service Description
Witches’ New Year A Samhain Gathering of Fire, Ritual, Creativity & Play As autumn deepens and we cross into the darker half of the year, we’re gathering around the fire for something a little different. Part ritual, part creative morning, part sauna, part feast - and perhaps just a little bit Practical Magic. Samhain marks a threshold in the seasonal year: a moment to acknowledge what has been, honour what we’ve gathered along the way and turn towards what comes next. But this gathering is also about something simpler: Permission to play. Somewhere along the way into adulthood, many of us lose a little of our capacity for imagination, ritual and making things simply because we want to. So we’re bringing some of it back. An invitation will weave through our morning: Who was the woman you imagined becoming before the world began telling you who you should be? And where might she be asking to come back into your life? The morning We’ll begin around the fire with embodied movement, nature and Samhain ritual, looking back over the year we’ve travelled through: celebrating what deserves celebrating, acknowledging what was difficult and noticing what we’re ready to leave behind. Then we create. Our Witch’s Table will be filled with herbs, beeswax and other treasures as we make Samhain keepsakes and concoctions together - hand-rolled candles, rosemary brooms, herbal body scrubs and something warming brewing in the cauldron. From there we’ll head into the heat for a communal sauna ritual before cooling off beneath the autumn sky. And finally, we feast. We’ll provide a hearty veggie soup and homemade focaccia. Please bring something delicious to add to our potluck table and share - sweet or savoury, homemade or lovingly bought. Come as your inner witch There’s an invitation to dress for the occasion. Think Practical Magic, Stevie Nicks, velvet and wool, big boots, wild hair, your favourite enormous jumper. Not fancy dress. Simply ask: If your inner witch got to dress you for the morning, what would she choose? Come as her. Sunday 1st November 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Exchange: £75 Itteringham, Norfolk Limited to 8 women Hosted by Emilie of Wild Yoga Norfolk & Georgie.
